Bougainvillea - Not the classic Amal Neerad...

The film stars Fahadh Faasil , Kunchako Boban , Jyothirmayi , Srinda , Sharafudeen , Veena Nandakumar and etc.

And the film is directed by Amal Neerad.

First of all, the most commendable aspects of this film are Sushin Shyam's music , the visuals by Anend C Harshan and the absolutely slick editing by Vivek Harshan.

All the actors have done a great job, and the people that stand out the most are probably Jyothirmayi and Kunchako Boban.

Sadly, the writing of the other characters were weak and underutilized.

It was very saddening to see Fafa not being one of the actors standing out.

Amal Neerad tries a hollywood type physcological crime thriller, but in the climax he tried adding his own sprinkles of mass but it did not work out well.

The BGM in fafa's entry was very unique and new, kudos to Sushin Shyam for that.

The intensity that builds after the twist has worked out well.

Unfortunately, the twist was revealed way too early and it kind of broke the steadiness of the film, and the twist was very predictable so it kind of ruined the whole experience of the film.

Overall - A good try but bougainvillea couldn't be in the list of wonderful movies that Amal Neerad has taken.
