Idhayam Murali - A wholesome romantic entertainer

The film stars Atharvaa , Preity Mukhundan , Kayadu Lohar , Thaman , Sudhakar and more. It is directed by Aakash Baskaran. Atharvaa is brilliant as Idhayaa. Preity Mukhundan is wonderful as Samantha. Kayadu Lohar is great as Amudha. Thaman and Sudhakar excel in their roles. The story follows Idhayaa , who while on his flight - narrates his history of unrequited sagas of love and unconfessed romances to a stranger , Suriya ( Fahadh Faasil ) , through nostalgic flashbacks the film explores his childhood , tuition and love stories. The film's biggest victory is how the emotions are conveyed , it dosen't feel cringe or draggy which is rare nowadays in romance films. The film offers big laughs especially by Sudhakar. The music by Thaman is superb. The cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and CH Sai is top tier and the colour grading sets the tone of the film right. Fahadh Faasil's extended cameo works out very well. Overall - A lighthearted watch
