The film stars Rajini , Nagarjuna , Soubin Shahir and Aamir Khan. It is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The whole cast has done a good job but some of the characters of the film are not at all needed and are mostly used for buildup particularly Aamir Khan's cameo. The film kickstarts by introducing us to a ruthless Dayalan ( Soubin Shahir ) and he operates a port for his boss, Simon ( Nagarjuna) a crime kingpin who deals in luxury watches. After the establishment of the gang , we get to see Deva ( Rajini) who now owns a mansion. The hero introduction song ( Chikitu Vibe) is groovy and Sandy's choreography is very well done and Rajini steals the show with his effortless dancing style. After the song , Deva who quickly learns that his best friend Rajashekar ( Sathyaraj) has passed away in a heart attack. Deva learns that Rajashekar death is not natural, vows to find out who did this to his friend and why. This leads to Deva getting entangled with Dayalan's crew and what business did watch smugglers have with Rajashekar. The film mostly fails due to it's weak script and lack of emotional connect , Lokesh could have established the friendship of Deva and Rajashekar more in depth so we can understand Deva's rage more instead of the bloodshed being merely fanservice. Anirudh's music is brilliantly done. Cinematography by Girish Gangadharan is wonderful and the colour tone of the film is very unique. Overall - An above average action thriller.
