Love Insurance Kompany - A fresh blend of science fiction and romantic comedy

The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan , Krithi Shetty , SJ Suryah , Yogi Babu , Seeman , Gouri G Kishan and more. It is directed by Vignesh Shivan. Pradeep Ranganathan is great as Vaibhav Vasudevan aka Vibe Vassey. Krithi Shetty has done her part well as Dheema , but personally i felt her chemistry with Vibe Vassey was cringe in some places. SJ Suryah shines as Suriyan , his comic timing and dialogue delivery is super energetic and adds to the overall experience of the film. Yogi Babu has done a commendable job as Jolly Prabhu and his character provides an ample amount of laugh out loud moments. Seeman and Gouri G Kishan impress with their perfomances. The story is set in 2040 and follows Vaibhav Vasudevan ( Vibe Vassey ) , a person who still believes in organic love , in a world where an dating app like LIK ( Love Insurance Kompany ) invented by Suriyan , which helps people in love to insure their relationships. Vibe Vassey meets Dheema , a woman embracing tech-driven romance. Their growing relationship challenges modern love norms and pits them against Suriyan. The idea of the organic world where phones are prohibited leading to people becoming mental and birds are in a safe place because all the cellphone signals are jammed is very innovative. The cinematography by Ravi Varman and Sathyan Sooryan is vibrant. Music by Anirudh is fabulous , the songs and the BGM are done well. Overall - A film that provides a different experience and though it isn't perfect , it delivers wholeheartedly on the entertainment factor.
