The film stars Sivakarthikeyan , Vidyut Jammwal , Biju Menon , Rukmini Vasanth and more. It is directed by A.R Murugadoss. The whole cast has done a great job especially Vidyut Jammwal , his stunts are crazy and kudos to Kevin Kumar for making such slick and stylish action blocks. The narrative follows Virat ( Vidyut Jammwal) along with his friend Chirag ( Shabeer Kallarakkal) joins hands with a syndicate in order to establish Gun Culture in Tamil Nadu. The NIA headed by Premnath ( Biju Menon) tries to stop them but falters In his attempt. This is when he unexpectedly meets Raghu ( Sivakarthikeyan) a man on the verge of suicide , and uses him in this mission. Who is Raghu , why does he want to end his life and how is Malathy ( Rukmini Vasanth) connected to him and was the Mission successful is the core of Madharasi. Sivakarthikeyan does a fabulous job as Raghu and the way A.R Murugadoss establishes his character is interesting. The love portion is wholesome and Raghu and Malathy's chemistry is great. Despite an interesting premise , A.R Murugadoss fails to engage us with the screenplay though many moments in the film feel like Thuppaki , it dosen't provide the same magic as Madharasi lacks thrilling moments. The 2nd half gives the feeling that the story isn't moving anywhere and the repetitive action becomes tiresome after a point. Though many sequences in the film feel like Thuppaki , it dosen't carry the same magic as Madharasi lacks thrilling moments. Anirudh's music is good. Sudeep Elamon's cinematography is wonderful and the colour grading is great. Overall - A intriguing script that disappoints in execution.
