Parashakti - An impactful film powered by a solid cast and crew

The film stars Sivakarthikeyan , Sreeleela , Ravi Mohan , Atharva and more. It is directed by Sudha Kongara. Sivakarthikeyan does a fabulous job as Cheziyan. Sreeleela does a neat performance as Ratnamala. Atharva does a mature perfomance as Chinna. Ravi Mohan does a menacing and impactful perfomance as Thiru. The film follows the Purananooru Squad and their active role in protesting against the imposition of Hindi. Will they succeed. Sudha Kongara's writing is dense and very emotionally poignant , The way each character is written and the screenplay is engaging and goes in a steady flow throughout the film. Music by G.V Prakash Kumar is the perfect balance between Mass and romance and aids to the film's nature. Ravi K Chandran's camerawork and the production design sets the visual tone for the film well , scoring well especially during the riot sequences. Overall - Parashakti is the kind of film that not only raises awareness of the actual anti-hindi imposition movement and it's heroes are chronicled in the end but it also packs in the right elements of cinema to entertain today's audiences.
