Thalaivan Thalaivi - Underwhelming and loud rom-com.

The film stars Vijay Sethupathi , Nithya Menen, Chemban Vinod Jose , Yogi Babu and more. It is directed by Paandiraj. Vijay Sethupathi has done a charming perfomance as Agasaveeran. Nithya Menen has done a cute and promising job as Perarasi. Yogi Babu as Chithirai does a great job providing lots of comic relief. Chemban Vinod Jose as Arasaangam has done a brilliant job. Deepa Shankar and Roshini Haripriyan do their parts accordingly. The cinematography by M. Sukumar is great and captures Madurai's beauty wonderfully. The film provides lots of hilarious moments but soon when the film tries going the action route and the emotional route it gets chaotic and the screenplay starts becoming haywire making the film feel bland and loses the charm that it had in the first. The film is too loud in a irritating way. Music by Santosh Narayan is good but not upto the mark. Overall- A above average family entertainer that works in parts.
